Springfield Armory 911 .380 ACP Semi-Automatic Pistol with Viridian Green Laser Grips

Everyone agrees that when it comes to a defensive-use handgun, the 1911 is the standard by which all are judged. Springfield Armory is known for the 1911 handgun, but they are also known for making it smaller and perhaps, by doing so, making it better. The slightly-smaller-than-a-1911 Springfield Armory EMP has been a very popular addition to the firearms maker's line-up. Springfield has taken miniaturization to the next level with the 911, a true pocket 1911.

Unlike other small firearms, the Springfield 911 does not suffer from less-than-optimal specifications and features. The Springfield Armory 911 features a set of Ameriglo Pro-Glo tritium/luminescent sights that are highly visible under all lighting conditions, and the rear sight is also a tactical rack U-notch. The Ameriglo Pro-Glo sights are low-profile so as not to interfere with any sort of draw from concealment. The Octo-Grip texturing on the 911's mainspring housing and front strap allows for a secure fit, while still being smooth enough to not hurt your clothing. The guide-rod is full-length and has a flat wire spring for improved control.

Hogue makes the awesomely thin G10 grips, the G10 mainspring housing and the G10 trigger. Speaking of triggers, the Hogue G10 trigger shoe of the Springfield 911 attaches to a crisp, short-reset five-pound trigger, exactly what you would expect from a 1911 trigger. Added on to the grip for this 911 model is the wonderful Viridian Green laser, so when you’re in a rush or in less than optimal conditions, your aim will now not be affected. The thumb safety on the 911 is ambidextrous and is exactly where it should be for easy manipulation under stressful conditions. The magazines are a flush-fit six-rounder and an extended seven-round magazine that allows you to get more of your hand on those Hogue G10 grips.
