I love these bullets
I've been shooting these since I got my 30-06 as a teenager (not sharing my age, but that's several decades back. :) I've found them to be very accurate and I've never had a misfire.

I've shot Core-lokt bullets for years, and have found them to shoot well and accurately. My only complaint has come up in the last year. I shot two bucks last hunting season and in both cases the core and the outside of the bullet separated, limiting penetration. These were chest shots in both cases, going through 1 shoulder and lodging in the other in 2 pieces. It makes me wonder if a couple of recent unrecovered deer were the result of a separated bullet and no exit wound & little blood trail.

These are one of the 2 rounds that I take regularly to the range. The consistency from round-to-round and box-to-box is great. Groups stay consistent and are reasonably clean burning. I prefer these 180 grain to the Remington 150 grain for longer distances. I seem to have greater accuracy and less arc on longer shots. While these are by no means match grade, they are an solid, inexpensive round for the 30-06.

This is all I shoot in my Remington mod. 710. After 80 rounds not one misfire and 1/2' groups at 100 yards. Wouldn't think of using anything else. Great game getter and paper puncher!

I bought a case to get ready for a fall hunting trip. The accuracy was very inconsistent from box to box. One box may shoot a nice group, followed by a box with a 3-4 inch group followed by a box that just sprayed them all over the place. I ended up using a different brand and more expensive bullet for my hunt. This is too bad as the old core-lokt has a good reputation as a game stopper and is relatively cheap--- but that doesn't do you any good if you don't hit the game.

Let me first say that i am not anti-remington, but this stuff really is no good at all. It burns dirty and NONE of the rounds were consistent. At 100 yards, I shot a 3 shot 1' group, but everything after that constantly moved to the right. The next 10 shot group i shot was spread out over 3'. Winchester Power-Points will give you constant small groups. (1' or less every time for me)

I have killed 2 deer with this ammo. One year I shot an older 8 point. Godd shot placement and he ran about 30 yards and collapsed head over heals. The next year a younger one and when I looked up he was gone. Then on closer look he was lying on the ground where I had shot him. It had knocked his feet out from under him and layed him on the ground. Both shots were 90 to 100 yards. I can't complain about that kind of performance.

This is the stuff i use in the 30-06 me and my dad share and it seems okay but i wouldn't know cuz this is the only stuff we use. It's relitively ceap for 06 ammo i guess. Accuracy wise it seems just fine but most of the shooting i do is about fifty yards because im not a member of a range yet. I haven't shot no deer with um yet but they seem to pack a punch. If you want to have some fun get some cantalopes or fill gatorade bottles and the energy drink cans with the screw on tops with water and screw shut. It's a blast, the cans just explode but the bottles will take off like rockets sometimes. I also missed once and hit the board holdin our tagits and it sawed it clean in half, looked like someone took a chainsaw to it. But overall a good buy for just the average plinker
