The reinforced glass-filled nylon frame has integrated modular stainless steel slide rails and locking block components. Enhanced ergonomics and custom features such as the aggressive texture on the frame, the double undercut trigger guard, extended beaver tail, thumb ledge, and magazine release relief cut work together to increase control of the pistol and mitigate recoil. A Picatinny accessory rail lets you mount lights or lasers as well. An improved trigger guard provides extra space when wearing gloves. Safety is built into the PFC9 pistol. The PFC9 uses a passive 3-safety system to prevent unintentional firing of the pistol. The articulated trigger safety prevents rearward movement of the trigger unless the trigger is pressed. The striker is blocked from forward movement by the striker block and trigger bar unless the trigger pressed. Serrations on the front and rear of the slide provide excellent gripping surfaces when racking the slide, doing a chamber check, or clearing a malfunction. Chamfering cuts on the leading edge of the slide and frame make holstering the pistol easier.
