The Weatherby Mark V High Country May Just Be the Ultimate Mountain Rifle
Born in the heart of Wyoming, the Weatherby Mark V High Country is an ode to the western outdoorsman. The precision machined Mark V receiver is made to give this rifle superb mechanical repeatability. It has a smooth cycling black Cerakote-treated spiral fluted bolt with multi-lugs and a lightweight skeletonized bolt knob for easy operation. The unique multi-lug design also lends to a shorter bolt throw for faster simpler operation. To optimize the bolt throw even more, the bolt handle is swept back towards the trigger, allowing for rapid follow up shots. Attached to the action is a sleek sporter profile barrel with a threaded muzzle which is fitted with a muzzle brake for recoil reduction, even with magnum calibers. All of these components are set into a Peak 44 carbon fiber stock which weighs just 24 ounces. This stock includes a vertical grip for a comfortable shooting experience, and with 3 sling swivel studs, you can attach a rifle sling as well as a sling stud mounted bipod!
