Weatherby and MDT is a Match Made in Heaven

Weatherby has a storied history of creating best-in-class hunting rifles, and now they have teamed up with the chassis engineers at MDT to create a stunning new long range platform. The Model 307 Alpine MDT is built on a 2-lug cully cylindrical action which is compatible with many aftermarket Remington 700 accessories, which makes it the most open platform Weatherby has ever created. Inside the action is a three-piece bolt which is designed to allow for tool-less disassembly, making it simple to field strip your bolt if necessary. The bolt also features an M16 style extractor so you can expect very reliable extraction and ejection. For this rifle, MDT created their first ever purpose built hunting rifle chassis which is called the HNT26 Chassis System. This chassis features V-block bedding, adjustable length of pull, adjustable comb, and is compatible with AICS pattern magazines. With a weight of just 26 ounces, this chassis is light on weight but heavy on features. Made of carbon fiber and magnesium alloy, this chassis features a foldable buttstock for more compact storage and an integrated ARCA rail on the forend for quick and easy attachment of a bipod or tripod. For a modern full-featured hunting rifle platform, you need look no further than the Weatherby 307 Alpine MDT.
