This affordable semi auto pistol combines cutting-edge innovation with the rugged design that is Ruger's benchmark.

The Ruger SR22 Semi Auto Pistol is Ruger's take on the tactical rimfire trainer, and it is a great pistol. Unlike other, pot-metal pistols the Ruger slide is made from aerospace-grade aluminum and the barrel is stainless steel, giving the little rimfire classic ruggedness that you expect from the Ruger brand.

The SR22 is chambered in the extremely popular .22 Long Rifle cartridge. This legendary plinking round has long been the favorite of hunters and target shooters alike. The low recoil and cost effective nature of the cartridge make it ideal plinking cartridge. Breaking from Ruger tradition, the SR22 has a traditional double-action/single action trigger system with a deckocker safety and an external hammer, all of which contribute to a light and smooth double-action and crisp single-action trigger pull. The SR22 also has a traditional slide, sporting front and rear cocking serrations. The slide also has dovetailed front and rear sights with a adjustable rear and a reversible blade front for the perfect sight picture for you.

The SR22 features a polymer frame with interchangeable rubberized grips and the two 10 round magazines include both grip extension and flush floorplates allowing for an almost custom fit to your hand. The manual thumb safety/decocking lever and magazine release are ambidextrous and the frame has a Picatinny rail, perfect for mounting a light or laser. The Ruger SR22 may just be the best .22 pistol since the Ruger Standard.
