The Ruger Precision Rifle is purpose built to distance itself from the typical long range rifle. Instead of a traditional bedding system the RPR uses an in-line recoil path that manages recoil directly from the rear of the receiver to the buttstock providing maximum accuracy potential. Adding to the accuracy is its cold hammer forged chrome-moly steel barrel with 5R rifling at minimum bor and groove dimensions, minimum headspace and centralized chamber. The heavy contoured barrel sports a RPR Magnum Muzzle Brake with tunable compensator to effectively reduce recoil and muzzle jump. To get the most range out of the rifle, Ruger has equpped this one with a 30 Minute of Angle Picatinny rail. The Ruger Marksman Adjustable Trigger is externally adjustable with a range of 2.25 to 5 pounds.
