The mission: to take your next trophy. The plan: use your favorite 30-30 Winchester rifle. The ammo: Federal Power-Shok, which delivers that perfect blend of quality and value which satisfies even the thriftiest, performance-minded hunter.

This cartridge is loaded with a 150 grain jacketed soft point projectile. Many people ask, so we’ll share this upfront: the JSP is designed for safe operation in a lever gun, and has a flat nose profile. The nonmagnetic JSP satisfies conventional expectations for the 30-30’s effective range (.218 G1 BC). If zeroed in at 100 yards, drop at 200 is roughly -7.2”.

The JSP’s flat nose profile punches a pretty injurious entry wound into the quarry. The lead-core bullet’s capacity for fast deformation only makes its terminal ballistics that much deadlier.

Federal has loaded fine ammo for over a century. Their experience shows in this ammo’s reliable primers, clean-burning propellant, and high-strength reloadable rimmed cases.

What are shooters using for Range Ammo ? There must be some practice ammo out there that is affordable. Thank you for time…James.
Answer: Hi James! Gosh, I hate to say it, but we just haven't got any cheap 30-30 target-only ammo in stock at this very moment. Oddly enough, 30-30 FMJ ammo just isn't common. We've never stocked it. That said, PPU's Serbian-made SP ammo is probably the cheapest we have in store right now: https://www.cheaperthandirt.com/ammunition/rifle-ammo/30-30-winchester?manufacturer=11
