Solid
+P .38s expand better when fired from short barrels. Doesn't get much better than Hornady.

Extremely consistent and accurate
Excellent ammo that I solely use in deer hunting in Ohio. One and a half inch groups at 100 yards using my Marlin 1895. In 2019, two shots, two dead deer. The 325 grain bullet did massive amounts of damage to both animals. Very humane round Pros: Excellent groupings

Horriblr
The ammo will not cycle through a Marlin 336 both new and older rifles. I tried it in both a 30-30 and 35 Remington. Same problem both rifles.

Great Product
I've shot several hundred rounds through my Marlin 1895. Cycles flawlessly and holds a tight group. Kicks like a mule and hits like a brick. No more running off and dying in the woods. This will drop a hog like a hammer.

yes
Shoots tight groups at 115 yards. Why did I sight in at 115 Yards? Because that's the length of our riffle range. I Haven't shot a deer yet, but I'm certain it won't be a problem. Cycles cleanly with my Marlin 1895 GBL in 45/70, 325 grain.

Have tried and tried to feed thru my Marlin lever action. Jammed so many times my ejector got broke and now need trip to gunsmith. Cons: won't feed into chamber in my Marlin Rifle

Good Hunting load.
This is great. A spear point type 45-70 for my Marlin lever gun. They are very nasty and not very forgiving power wise. Fairly flat trajectory fir such a heavy bullet.

Do not use this ammo in your Marlin model 1895
Hornady Lever Revolution ammo jams in my Marlin model 1895 45-70. It loads in the ammo tube fine but will not cycle into the chamber without jamming. Upon inspection many of the shell casings have blemishes, (dents, and what looks like crimping on the casings) one box had 18 cartridges with blemishes. Even the non blemished casing do not load properly. Remington and Cowboy ammo both load and cycle with no issues. I contacted Hornady but they are unable to replace this ammo as they have no other 45-70 ammunition. I am very dissatisfied with this product.
