Get a Unique Replica of the Nettleton Model 1873 Revolver

One of the most sought after 1st Generation Colt pistols is a "Henry Nettleton Model 1873." Henry Nettleton was the US Ordnance Department Principal Sub-Inspector in Charge in 1878, and only inspected about 3,000 guns. Unlike other inspectors, Henry put his inspection stamps on the left side of the hammer and trigger guard. No one knows why he did this, but as a result these pistols are very rare. Many of the Nettleton Model 1873 revolvers with 7-1/2" barrels were later refurbished for the New York Militia and the barrels were cut down to 5-1/2", making these pistol truly collectable. The Cimarron US Cavalry Henry Nettleton Model 1873 SAA pays respect to the original 1st Generation Colt Government Models inspected by Henry Nettleton, down to recreating the proof marks and all of Nettleton's inspection stamps using the exact same fonts and placements as the original. The Cimarron replica showcases the features that made the Model 1873 the sidearm of choice for the US Cavalry.
