Started using this brand
Started using this brand earlier in the decade. I have the Baikal IJ-70. Gun made in Tula, Russia, so I figure the bullets made there has to be the best fit ?http://www.baikalinc.ru/en/company/open/weapon.htmlEventually I'd like to either get their Yarygin Pistol (MP-443 'GRACH' Army Pistol) or the MP-446 'VIKING' to replace the gun itself. But the Makarov I have is very reliable and would probably be just as happy to be able to replace it just the same. The web page indicated the Wolf brand was no longer available, I hope it's just temporarily out of stock. But I also see there is a Tiger brand also made in Tula, Russia. So maybe they are just changing the name of it ?http://www.makarov.com/tech.html

Great round for the price
Great round for the price. Yes, it is dirty. But who doesn't clean a gun after shooting a box anyhow?

I have shot over 300 rounds of this, never had a miss fire or jam. It is a dirty surplus ammo and leaves the chamber filthy, but who does not clean their weapon after shooting it? I use Windex or straight ammonia after shooting any surplus ammo, it kills the acids in corrosive powder. Wolf is fine for plinking, but I prefer Silver Bear for ccw. All in all it works fine in my CZ-82.

Good quality ammo and very reliable. It tends to be a little on the dirty side, but my CZ-82 cleaned up w/o a problem. The 100grn bullets tend to group a little low at 10 yrds, but all were inside 2'.

This bullet leaves a lot of debris behind from the jacket scrapings. Dirty round. No misfires or jams though and cheap.

this stuff is fine for the range with the exception of alot of excess smoke...its a pretty slow burn powder and buy the 8th shot you almost can't see the target. Requires a real cleaning job when finished.I had three misfires out of 100 and two jams with this stuff. Its fine for cheap range plinking but under NO WAY would i use this as ammo for ccw. I have two Mak's...East German and Russian and neither use this ammo well.

I bought 100 rounds and shot most in one day through a CZ-82. I had no jams at all even though I was using a 25 year old pistol. It works just like all other Wolf ammo I have bought cheap and reliable, I plan on stocking up on more.
