This round’s 115 grain full metal jacket has a lead core and a “bimetal jacket.” The jacket has an extremely thin copper-washed exterior. The rest of it is made of steel. The steel is too soft to damage the bore, although it will attract a magnet. If you’re planning on shooting at a range that disallows “magnetic projectiles,” then don’t even bother trying to bring this ammo there.

This round’s case is made of steel instead of brass. Steel is significantly cheaper than the copper alloy, although its rigidity means that it is virtually impossible to handload. The case’s Berdan primer is yet another reason why you shouldn’t bother attempting to handload the cartridge. Wolf’s Berdan primer is absolutely noncorrosive, however, so you have nothing to worry about there!
