This ammo is commonly referred to as simply “white box.” It’s the bread and butter of many a cost-conscious high-volume shooter, because it’s produced in mass quantities and loaded with regular full metal jacket projectiles.

Those FMJs are the simplest bullets a semi-auto will reliably feed and send. They are made of copper alloy and lead, leaving them wholly incapable of attracting a magnet. They also weigh 115 grains, and light enough to remain supersonic until around 25 yards (according to Winchester, which records 9mm muzzle velocity using a 4” test barrel).

This ammo’s cases aren’t made of steel, aluminum, or any other alternative to good old-fashioned brass. That makes them cleaner shooting, and also repeatedly reloadable.

Winchester didn’t waste a second packaging this case of ammo. It’s divided into just two boxes: one to tuck under each arm as you head on out to the gun range.
