Winchester’s American-made and aptly named USA line of ammunition is always a worthwhile selection for target practice with any 5.56x45mm rifle – including your very own AR.

This round’s bullet weighs in at 55 grains, and is a relatively unsophisticated full metal jacket: copper shell, lead core, and no metals that can attract a magnet. The FMJ may fragment if it strikes a soft medium at sufficient velocity, although its terminal ballistics do not include expansion – the reason why it is not favored for hunting large game, such as deer. (Its striking energy alone suits it well for dispatching varmints, however.)

We estimate this round’s G1 BC at .250, which is conventional for an M193 spec load. If you aim through 1.5” high sights to 200 yards, then you can reasonably expect -9.0” drop at 300 yards.

This noncorrosive Boxer-primed ammo’s brass cases are new and reloadable. The military-grade cases are only discolored because they weren’t polished after they were toughened up via heat treatment. This ammo is loose-packed: all 500 rounds together inside one large cardboard box.
