If you own (A) a 300 AAC Blackout firearm, and (B) a suppressor for it, then you cannot make do without this 200 grain open tip ammunition by Winchester. This cartridge’s heavyweight bullet attains a barely four-digit muzzle velocity, and produces a duller, more easily suppressed report because of it.

The open tip bullet is no more suitable for hunting than an FMJ. It benefits performance by reducing fouling of the barrel and suppressor, as its jacketed base prohibits lead core vaporization. It is also accurate; not just because a subsonic bullet avoids the issue of transonic destabilization, but also because the open tip receives a balanced, voidless and rearward-situated core by design.

This ammo is packaged 60 rounds per box; four boxes per case. Winchester USA series ammo is exclusively new brass cased, with noncorrosive Boxer primers and clean-firing propellant. Based on Winchester’s ballistic data, we estimate this round’s G1 ballistic coefficient at .275.
