1860 HENRY LOVES THESE
Not sure what went wrong with the other guy who reviewed this round but I did some extensive research to find a round I could use to hunt whitetail with using my Henry 1860 (made in USA) REPRO. The cowboy loads I tried first got stuck after they over expanded and the spent cartridges wouldn't eject..had to be removed carefully using a knife. I went to Jamison which performed flawlessly. .but I finally settled on the Winchester Super X for the increased velocity. I stocked up on these. I even purchased the commemorative box. I can't speak for its performance in other firearms but it is the round of dependability and knock-down for the American made 1860 Henry .44-40. Cons: Pricey / Poor Value

The quality is terrible.
The quality is terrible. Numerous rounds would not chamber because the bullets had caught the edge of the brass cartridge during loading and folded the edge underneath. This causes a bulge that makes the round too wide.
