This round’s 190 grain Extreme Point bullet has an extraordinary polymer tip: one that constitutes 48% of its frontal area. It makes the bullet super sleek, which helps it conserve the momentum it needs to fly flat and strike like Thor’s hammer. If you have a 20” barrel, 1.5” high sights, and a 200-yard zero, then your trajectory should crescendo at 3.8” and terminate in around 1,125 ft lbs of striking energy.

The Extreme Point’s not just for target shooting, of course. The bullet’s dense lead-alloy core, deep nose cavity, and contoured, tapered jacket are all designed to maximize terminal expansion. And because the bullet’s large tip has an proportionately large base, it is capable of creating a jarring shockwave of energy as it sets to work unleashing unusually rapid expansion.
