Great bullet!
I have a Remington 700 with a vortex scope. With this ammo I have the ground covered to within 200 yards. Once I run out of .308, I have my S&W 686 and my GSDs to cover home base. :)

My Go-To Round for Deer/Antelope
I have used the 140 grain Winchester Ballistic Silvertip in my T/C Venture 7mm for 2 seasons and have shot 1 antelope and 5 deer at ranges from 75 to 400 yards and all have been DRT, except 1 deer at 400 yards ran approximately 50 yards collapsed. Shoots 1" groups at 100 yards in my T/C rifle with a Vortex scope.

Ballistic Tip Does it job EVERYTIME
Winchester teams up with Nosler in my opinion making the best bullet on the market. I can reload these as well, but for the price on CTD, no need.

It is what it is
I think this ammo is great for behind the shoulder soft tissue shots. Usually produces a bang flop. My problem come with direct shoulder shots..which happen to be where I like shooting them. My last 8 point was shot in the front shoulder at 60 yards. The bullets blew a massive entry wound but barely penetrated the shoulder. I followed blood for hundreds of yards and finally found him laid up. Did the deer die...yes, but shoulder shots are not this ammos forte. I have since gone back to the standard core-lokt/Interlock/power point type bullets with better results. A shoulder shot with these bullets create an instant bang flop every single time. Disclaimer--if you shoot behind the shoulder expansion is not as good as the ballistic tip. You really just have to decide what is important and more importantly...what is accurate.

yes I would buy this product again.
Used this ammo for the first time out of my 30-06 that I have not used in five years. After changing the factory stock to a boyds wood stock, I test fired the weapon and was pleased with the results. On the second day of the Georgia gun season the round and gun preformed well, I was able to take a seven point buck. I think I have found the round that works great in this rifle.

Wow!!
I read a bunch of reviews, and the Whinchester 130gr Silver Ballistictip came up several times as one of the best. Well it's is!! Had it zeroed at 100 yards in no time. Have a 12" gong set up at 320 yards and hit it several times!! On CTD they ship so fast!! Got free shipping and it said allow 10-15 days, yeah I got it in 2 days!!

Buying for years!
I have been deer hunting for 25 years and have always used Winchester Silvertip ammunition in my .30-06. Bullets are very accurate and have never had an issue with jamming. Casings are corrosion resistant. When going into the woods, I feel confident that I will have no issues with my ammunition even if it is 3 or 4 years old. Super product! Pros: Very accurate, corrosion proof Cons: Little more expensive than other loads

I hghly recogmmend this ammo to mountainous range humters.
I hunt using a sweet Ruger American 270, and a NIKON Prostaff scope. I used the Silvertip for the first time on 11/11/2017. I hit the doe at about 100 yds. She went down without taking another step. I didn't have to search for her and only had to drag her 20 yds. through the woods. At this rate, the box will be empty in about 19 more deer.
