That’s not by coincidence. This ammo is built very similarly to M80. The key difference is its bullet, which is intended for medium game.

If you only judged it by its bullet’s weight and muzzle velocity, you would assume this ammo is M80. But thanks to its pointed soft point projectile, which follows impact with fast, wide and injurious terminal expansion, it’s something else entirely: 7.62x51 that behaves like M80 until it has struck an animal.
