I have used DOZENS of these and other brand S&W spring kits on my own and friends' Smiths with (usually) great results. I recently acquired a dainty little 1905 in .32-20 and was pleasantly surprised that the springs interchanged with the originals without a hitch - I went through a quantity of mild handloads and had a ball warming up this 90-year-old revolver. But then I dry-fired it a couple times and the hooks at the top of the mainspring jumped off the hammer stirrup. I replaced it, and later that day a friend was looking at it, dry-fired it before I could stop him, and it jumped off again. I'll be sending it back to Wilson and installing a Wolff or Miculek version. BAD WILSON! BAD!

Defective spring
The hammer spring would pop off every time the weapon was cocked. I contacted Wilson and they told me their supplier changed the spring without notifying them. They had a replacement in the mail the same day. The new spring works dry firing, I haven't fired it yet. Contact Wilson if you have this problem, they will take care of it. Noticeable difference with the new spring, I like it.
