Great Upgrade
Much better than the factory sights fir 56 year old eyes. The fiber optic front is nice and bright, and the rear peep is perfect. Simple 10 minute install and boresight as well.

Ordered this sight back i
Ordered this sight back in May. Finally got around to installing on a Marlin 336W bought this year also (it's now September). I had my most disappointing day at the range, ever...At 50 yards, this sight (once it got on paper, started at mid-point) consistently shoots 4 inches high, and the rear sight is backed all the down to the last mark. At 100 yards, it was 6 to 8 inches high. I think that they shipped a front bead that is too high. Before ordering this set, I called and asked to be sure that this was the correct kit for my rifle, and they assured me that it was. Also, recommend match marking the windage setting and then removing the screw and using LocTite. It loosened and tended to drift after every 20 rounds. Results were from using factory Federal 150 grain softpoint ammunition (Blue Box). Called Williams directly and was placed on hold until it finally bumped me to an answering machine. Left my number. If they contact me and make it right by sending a shorter front sight, I will upgrade their rating. Right now - only ONE bullet.

Installing these sights w
Installing these sights was a piece of cake and sighting in my Marlin 336CS took three rounds. There isn't much you can do to improve the 336CS but intalling these sights is definetly a must do.

I purchased this set for
I purchased this set for my 336W bought in 2006, gunsmith had no trouble getting them in. The only trouble I had was sighting it in the first time, I got stupid and realized that the fiber optic on the front will hide a coyote from view at less than 50 yards haha. Re-sighted it so the fiber optic sits under the target and it's fine now.

Purchased this for what i
Purchased this for what it was sold to be... a peep sight for the marlin 336C.. the front sight does not fit.. not even close I purchased my Marlin 336C 30/30 in 1971 ..possibly Marlin has changed, the dimensions of the front sight since then, if this is the case there is nothing in the literature that tells you of this . but they are way too large, I have wasted a lot of my time with this.

Does this come with the front sight?
Answer:
No. This is only the rear peep sight.
will the williams WGRS-336 Work on Marlin 1895 .45-70?
Answer:
Williams does not list that as a fitment.
