I was a little skeptical
I was a little skeptical about the quality of this piece, but after installing it, it is rock solid. You just have to be careful not to over-tighten it, as the screws will strip. That's to be expected with such small hardware though. It comes with separate mounting screws, which is great, because I reused the factory screws that were left behind after removing the front and rear sights. This is a great product that allows the mounting of picatinny accessories. Now I can easily move my scope between rifles, without the headache.

I bought this mount for m
I bought this mount for my sons 597 a it fits like a glove. It only took 5 min to install. A great mount. The only reason it didn't get a 5 is shipping. It was more than the mount itself.
