Walkers Ultimate Quads increase sounds better than my Peltor's. I am hearing impaired so having conversation at the range is difficult. The 9x sound description is accurate and it does not require maximum amplification to hear quiet sounds. Fit is great through large heads. An extra large skull might be uncomfortable. The sound adjustment knobs are easy to find and use. The battery compartment is at the bottom and the panel slides out so no tools are required.
