No need to settle for military surplus .45 Colt from the 19th century. Veteran Ammo’s ammunition is newly made, with brass cases that are fresh out of the factory – *not remanufactured*. Its explosives also aren’t historically accurate, which is a good thing if you don’t want smoky black powder or corrosive primers (you don’t).
Veteran Ammo’s Florida-made ammunition is loaded with 255 grain bullets (i.e. the classic weight). They are lead cores with gilding metal jackets, and are incapable of attracting a magnet placed next to them.
The “Veteran” in the manufacturer’s name is deserved. The company’s CEO is a Marine, who also founded Hyperion Munitions.
