Old Marlin 22 rifle update.
Good transition for an old Marlin 22 rifle scope to a newer more modern one.

As usual Leapers/Utg does not disappoint,it fits like glove scope mounted as expected can't go wrong with CTD and Leapers.

Good and bad
I wanted to mount a better scope and mount on my savage Mk II F. I can't find a picatinney rail adapter, and my model is a little older, so it doesn't have the pre-drilled/tapped holes. I had some issues with the 2 piece scope rings, so I have been converting everything over to one piece mounts. This is a very high riser, and to keep the scope at a reasonable level, I had to go with low profile scope rings. When I installed the one piece mount, it placed the scope almost 2" above the barrel. I found some low profile scope rings that dropped the scope to about 1 1/4" above the barrel. Mounting was easy, and it's secure. No wiggle, no wobble. Pros: conversion for larger array of mounting options Cons: very high riser
