We’re going to tell you something you already know: The 50 Action Express is *powerful.* But that doesn’t mean you should rely on its brute force alone while you’re hunting, or teaching dangerous game not to mess with you. A great 50 AE cartridge also needs a great bullet!

This cartridge by Underwood is loaded with a 300 grain eXtreme Terminal Performance (XTP) jacketed hollow point (JHP) projectile. Its drawn gilding metal jacket grows thinner toward its rim, and features multiple serrations that further promote uniform terminal expansion. The XTP’s jacket additionally shields its rim, leaving no lead exposed as a result – the reason why you can trust it to reliably feed in a semi-automatic pistol. And thanks to its swaged lead core and impressive jacket concentricity, the XTP possesses all the balance it needs to race straight toward its target.

Underwood loads this ammo with flash-suppressed propellant, which will help your eyesight stay adjusted to low light should you ever choose (or have) to fire in the dark. Slick nickel-plated brass cases pass in and out of the chamber real smoothly, and are better protected against corrosion than unplated alternatives.
