Well made / Didn't work for my application
The idea is great, product is well made! Using it on my Remington 7400 and Browning A-Bolt it interfered with aim, had to adjust my scope eye relief, and it does have a tendency to want to spin around the stock...on my 2 guns listed above.

I ordered this for my Remington 700. Just got it yesterday and installed it. It wasnt hard at all to instal when I removed the stock from my rifle and slipped it over the front. Took like one mintute. I was concerned about the velcro on the flap hitting my cheek as I shoot but as for now it does not get in the way. It holds my 308 cartridges nice and tight so even without the flap I doubt they would fall out. But still nice to have the amo covered. The only small problem with the holder is it is not shaped for a rifle stock so it holds tight in the rear where the stock is thick and not so tight near the front where the stock is narrow. But I do not expect to have a problem with it slipping yet. Perhaps later if the material streatches but not now.

Good buttsock ammo carrie
Good buttsock ammo carrier. Flap keeps ammo secured, yet still close at hand. You won't be like the annonymous hunter with an open top carrier who left me a trail of expensive winchester xp3 rounds in Colorado. Or at least I assume thats how that happened. Ditto on making a hole for the sling stud to prevent slippage. Do that and then carefully melt the exposed thread with a cigarett lighter.

it works well.i have used
it works well.i have used it for 3 years on my deer hunting rifle, the only problem is it tends to slip.i just cut a very small hole in it so the sling stud would go through put my sling back on and presto no more slip.happy hunting from Minnesota!
