What we have here is foreign-made M193 spec ammunition – precisely the sort of stuff you’re meant (and encouraged) to shoot targets with all day. The bullet’s components are as follows:
• Jacket: tombac (the name Turan uses for 90% copper, 10% zinc alloy; aka “gilding metal”)
• Core: lead
We’re only going into specifics to underscore the following point: this ammo’s bullets do not contain steel and can not attract a magnet.

That’s a full metal jacket bullet, specifically, which is likely to fragment upon close-range collision with flesh but which cannot expand. We don’t recommend the 5.56 FMJ for hunting anything other than small game.

To reiterate, Turan makes *new* ammo. This ammo’s brass cases exemplify that fact, and its Boxer primer are noncorrosive.
