This cartridge showcases everything Tula knows about substituting steel components for brass ones. The 122 grain hollow point bullet’s jacket is bimetal: steel and copper, albeit predominantly the former. Its steel content causes the bullet to attract a magnet (which is of note if your preferred gun range disallows such bullets).

The case is also made of steel. This reduces production costs to an even greater degree, at the expense of making the ammo not reloadable. The cases are polymer coated, and smoother and more water resistant because of it.

Tula has not loaded corrosive primers for decades. This recently manufactured ammo’s Berdan primers cannot cause corrosion of the rifle.
