Put on Spike's Tactical M
Put on Spike's Tactical M4. Big triangle muzzle blast from Federal .223 55gr. ammo and minimal muzzle blast from Winchester 5.56 55gr. ammo like milspec A2 flash hider in my experiences at indoor range. LOVE it because 5.56 sounds like your shooting 7.62 (a lot louder). Helps to eliminate muzzle rise during rapid fire. Tactical use as a glass breaker or as a striking point. Will due damage to your legs on single point sling setup when hanging. Muzzle blast is big with some ammo so could blind you at night, maybe a problem for a night time home defense at night. Great product more for fun than tactical. Great aggressive look, great for the range and as a conversation piece, by itself it is a head turner. Keeping it on cause it's so much fun and a joy to shoot. All around great buy. Would recommend!

I put this brake on my RR
I put this brake on my RRA LAR-15 mid-length because I'm into tactical shooting drills and liked the idea of faster follow up shots. When I got it, it was a little scuffed, but the fact being that it was going on the end of my barrel I really didn't care. I took it out to the range and immediately noticed an increase in felt recoil in my shoulder (I also put on a Magpul enhanced rubber buttpad, negating some of said recoil) but vertical muzzle climb was virtually eliminated. Using a 4X ACOG from about 10m, I was able to very rapidly put 10 shots into a 3' group, dead center on the target. I wouldn't have even thought to try that with the original A2 flash suppressor. The aggressive teeth on the end are a nice bonus (stay away, zombies). Very impressed with what I've seen so far. Well done, Troy Industries!

Installed with the washer
Installed with the washer it came with, but would not line up right. I tried the old one and it lined up perfectly. Shoots great and does what it says it does. Also, the flash suppressor works well. Would recommend.

I bought one of these to
I bought one of these to help me get better follow up shots. The teeth are great to help breach a door, somewhat. The closed ended design is excellent for keeping dirt out of your barrel. And the three holes act like flash suppressors (somewhat).I have only one qualm with it. The threading is off. This muzzle break has to be aligned just right in order for it to work properly. With a new crush washer in place, the break threads and stops in the 11 O'clock position, when it should be in the 12.Replacing the crush washer doesn't help. The only way to correct it is to somehow find a peel washer for your barrel threads. Which is nearly impossible. So instead of keeping the muzzle from rising, it tends to rock the muzzle left and right, back and forth by inches at a time.

This thing really rocks.
This thing really rocks. It took some brain muscle to get it on. The crush washer it came with didnt fit. So I used the crush washer that my 'birdcage' came with. Great compensation, and the 3 ports offer at least some fash hiding. And the best part: because the front of this muzzlecomp is closed execpt for a 5.56 hole, my barrel remained dirt free even during extreme harsh and sandy conditions.
