Additional Thought
I'd like to add something I ought to have included in my initial comments. Given, the Variable RMR is certainly among the pick of the litter. A good, reliable, rock-steady red-dot sight is a boon to older shooters like me as well as to people of any age with vision difficulties. I have but one object to focus on -- the bull's-eye. The dot pretty much takes care of itself. With conventional iron sights the shooter is required to align his rear and front sights with the target -- a difficult threesome in the best of circumstances. I'll either keep shooting my Korth till I drop or have another .357 tapped for a red-dot. Something to look forward to.

Conspicuous Consumtion
About a year ago I treated myself to one of the world's finest revolvers -- a Nighthawk Korth Super Sport .357. (Thank you, darling wife, for indulging my lunacy.) And I had on hand an inexpensive albeit perfectly fine Bushnell red-dot optic I mounted on the Korth's Picatinny rail and shot wonderful groups. I also looked again at Nighthawk Customs' promotional photos and saw a Trijicon RMR red-dot sight adorning the Super Sport's rail. The snob within took over. I had to acquire an optical sight commensurate with the Korth's quality. And that's my story. Needless to mention, the RMR does not disappoint. Nor should it at that price!
