Helped me rid my land of Red Coats!
As I sat with my fair wife on our porch, I saw the glistening of a sword from over yonder. IT WAS RED COATS! I buried my rifle to my shoulder and took out the commander and the rest of the battalion! What a glorious modern weapon!

Lots of Fun
Lots of opportunity for custom styling, very easy to build and requires only a few tools. Instructions are a little confusing. I wound up ignoring some steps and doing something different. Once you have everything you need to shoot it's a lot of fun. Get a lot of admirers at the range. Percussion caps, powder, and ammunition are cheap and easy to find. Get a very satisfying bang when you shoot. My only real complaint is the woodwork is not super accurate and the trigger assembly requires some adjusting to avoid being too sensitive. Also had to remove a bit of material to get the trigger guard in place. I would also highly recommend getting a powder measuring tool to avoid accidents or underpowered blasts. Pros: cheap Cons: Not the best woodwork

This is a very good kit.
This is a very good kit. As others have said, it's not for beginners. But if your an experienced Black Powder Kit Builder it is a beautiful buy. Construction is well, there is plenty of filing and boring involved in the building. So far I'm really enjoying it. I'm almost ready to start sighting it in.

This kit is definitely no
This kit is definitely not for a beginner, which I was when I purchased this kit. Nothing fit together. I had to do much more in-letting and fitting that I was expecting to do. I bought this kit for my son and me to build and it was much more difficult than I was lead to believe. The price and the shipping was great but it was certainly a major pain in the butt to assemble. The trigger guard broke in two pieces when I tried to fit it in, but I installed it anyway. Luckily, you can't tell it is broken unless you look real close. The instructions must be read very carefully and re-read again, just in case you miss something. The instructions are very small and hard to read and also failed to mention some key steps. If I had to do it all over again, I would have purchased a rifle with a wedge pin instead of one with barrel tenons. We finished the rifle yesterday and it looks good, but the real test will be at the range this weekend.

Is the brass fittings 100% inlay or will i have to sand the stock to fit the brass?
Answer: You will need to final fit everything.
