Tanfoglio takes the 1911 design to a new level with the Thor pistol. Tanfoglio successfully turns the 1911 into a long range single shot pistol in a rifle caliber. The magazine catch has been modified to become an action release latch, the magazine well becomes a finger rest and stabilizer, the receiver supports the barrel assembly which when locked creates true locked single action long range pistol. The barrel assembly includes a Picatinny rail system for scope mounting or accessory.
