The TacStar original SideSaddle shotshell ammunition carrier allows you to easily mount additional ammunition directly to the side of your shotguns receiver. This convenient location allows you quick access to additional shells since carrying additional shotshells can sometimes be cumbersome. The backing plate is made from aircraft grade aluminum and the polymer shell holders are virtually indestructible. The mounting of the side saddle is easy and does not require the use of a gunsmith.

I gave this product 3 bullets. PRO: it does exactly what it's supposed to do and the price is pretty good. CON: the corner closest to the shooter's face protrudes from the gun a little and is not very pleasing to the eye, the forend on some shotguns does require modification.

I bought the Six shell side saddle and mike was right the fore grip would bump the platform prevent the bolt from going all the way back. but I cut a 90 degree angle on my fore grip and it fits perfect and doesn't look bad! cheaper than buying a new for grip! Thanks CTD!

I purchased the model that holds 4 rounds instead of 6 rounds because I did NOT want to modify the forend on my Remington 870 Express. Even the OEM packaging states 'All forend types will work with TacStar 4 shell SideSaddles without modification'. This is incorrect! I am currently in the process of searching for a suitable replacement forend. To modify the OEM forend that came with my 870, it would require a fairly large removal of plastic which I do not believe can be done to my satisfaction.
