This is a beam diffuser for SureFire and other tactical flashlights and weapons lights. It converts the focused high output beam to a softly diffused wide angle area light for closer range, non-tactical applications. It also provides secondary protection to the flashlight lens.

Applying thumb pressure to the locking tab releases the spring-loaded cover, which flips open until hand pressure is applied to re-close the cover. A cam-locking lever keeps the entire unit securely attached to the flashlight.
