Hunters use blue light filters to track wounded game at night. Blue stands out more distinctly against foilage when viewed under blue light. It will also make hydraulic fluid appear to be a deep black. This filter is also useful for close range non-tactical applications such as map reading because it decreases the intensity of the beam.
