At the top of the list of hearing protecting is the EPS Sonic Defenders by Surefire. With the double-flanged-stem design most all shooters will be able to find a comfort fit while providing a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 24dB. With these only the safe leveled sounds are able to pass though into the ear canal while the high level and harmful noises are cancelled out. The patented EarLock® retention locks the earplug in place for a snug and comfortable fit through your daily operations and delivers a low profile design inhibiting neck fatigue or aggravation sometimes found in larger hearing protection. EP3 Sonic Defenders are able to serve as earpieces for other SureFire™ Hearing Protection and like company's radio communications systems with the removal of the noise-reducing filter and the attaching of the earpiece to the other system.
