Streamlight's Sidewinder Stalk helmet light system contains a number of useful lighting features combined into one unit, which reduces the amount of gear you need to take into the field. This particular version of the Sidewinder Stalk comes with an ARC Rail mount as well as well as a hook and loop adapter plate. Use the ARC Rail mount to slide the light onto any helmet with a compatible ARC rail, or attach the hook and loop adapter plate to the light to attach it to any hook and loop helmet surface. This multi-function light features a variable color LED mounted on the end of a flexible stalk which allows you to point the light where you need it without the need to remove the entire unit from your helmet or vest. In addition to the white, infrared, red, blue, and green LEDs, a separate Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) switch lets you use both the main light and IFF simultaneously if necessary. One of the Sidewinder Stalk's most impressive features is its multi-fuel capability. This feature allows the unit to be powered by three different types of battery. Use one CR123A for the best performance, but the light can also be powered by one AA alkaline or one AA lithium battery. A push button switch controls on/off and intensity control, and a rotating selection knob lets you cycle between output modes to prevent accidental mode changes.
