This is a true SA magazin
This is a true SA magazine not a copy. Performs flawlessly. Wish I could find the magazine with the #2 extension ring or just a #2 extension ring. Even SA does not have either.

These mags fit my 9mm XDM perfectly, slid right in first time. My belt magazine holder is now full and feels complete.

Will this work with the xdm elite compact 3.8 9mm? Mine came with 2-13rd mags and the base plate is bigger than the 1 in the pic

This should fit the XDM Elite Compact, however, this magazine does have a shorter base plate and holds one less round than the magazine that came with your firearm, so you would likely need to remove the flared magazine well to properly seat this shorter magazine.

Does the compact magazine work in all Springfield XDM's? Mine came with the 19 round mag and in Colorado I can't take that to the range and am looking for a 15 round magazine. Looks like Blue Steel has one but it gets poor reviews. Prefer to go with something made by Springfield. Is the 13 capacity my next best bet? Just was thrown off by the compact and want to make sure it will fit before buying.

No, this mag will be too short for you firearm and you need a full size XD(M) magazine. Springfield only makes a 19 round and 10 round full size XD(M) mag. Check out item # MAG-1036-048
