One word sums up the Springfield Armory XD Magazine X Tension. SUPER!! The 16 round magazines in my XD Subcompact give me the grip I need. Having a better grip on the gun I shoot much better..

Excellent product by Springfield. Very well made. Allows using the higher capacity full-size 9mm or .40 S&W magazine in the sub-compact pistols. You can carry the sub-compact pistol with the easier to conceal flush magazine and carry the larger capacity spare magazines for reloading. Perfect fit when using this magazine X-Tension.

Item does not function as
Item does not function as expected. I thought, given the catalog designation (Magazine X-tension) that it would fit onto the bottom of the magazine, extending the length for a better grip. This is actually a magazine sleeve (as noted on the packaging) which is only useful for already over-sized magazines. If this is what you are looking for, this product seems to be well-made. However, magazines that are already flush-fit will not be able to lock into the gun with this item attached. Users who, like me, want the latter feature, should probably look at item #11593. (That item is called a 'Grip Extension' which is what I would have called this. Maybe it's just me?)

Will it fit XD subcompact 9mm 10 rounds ?

This will fit the firearm, but not a flush fit subcompact magazine. This item goes on a full size XD magazine that pairs with a subcompact XD.
