ON THE FENCE WITH STAR RATING...A 2 OR A 5? You decide!
OK, super impressed on how the form and function of the pistol is. An excellent platform for firearms training, even the magazine is the shape, size and weight of the real thing. Adjustable sights, even the take down and "inerds" are so much like the real thing. Accuracy is also pretty darn good, and the blowback action gives a "feel" to it. Trigger is also better than many real centerfires I've shot. Here's the catches... 1) The CO2 cartridge goes in the magazine, which is nice, but goes in by use of an allen wrench, which could also be over torqued crushing the cartridge and causing it to leak. 2) It takes a while to put in a new a cartridge. 3) you only get about 35-40 shots out of it. 2 1/2 magazines 4) about the 35th BB, the action starts jamming / getting out of battery as your air is almost gone. It seems you spend more time reloading the CO2 cartridges in and out of it, and the low round count per cartridge (35-40) limits the amount of trigger time. So depending on how you look at things: 1) as a replica pistol 5+ stars 2) as an enjoyable shooting platform 2- stars...for a regular priced pistol (usually over $100) and the amount of time spent reloading, and the amount of CO2 cartridges used in one session, probably a .22M&P compact would be a better choice, or even the less than replica M&P non blowback pistol for BB shooting. Pros: VERY realistic Cons: lengthy amount of time to load CO2 cartridge
