Simmons, the manufacturer of America's most popular rimfire scope, offers the .22 Mag Riflescope Series for larger game hunting. This 4x32mm rifle sight features the QTA (Quick Target Acquisition) eyepiece to provide a minimum eye relief of 3.5 inches, as well as a duplex-style reticle that makes it easy to locate objects even at long distances. The HydroShield multi-coated lenses provide glare reduction in addition to being waterproof and fogproof, to provide a clear view in even the most unfavorable conditions.

This .22 Mag scope includes Simmons' patented TrueZero adjustment system, which employs direct, steel-on-steel pressure in a ball-bearing and spring system to hold zero. The SureGrip adjustment knobs are low-profile, yet easy to adjust even with gloved hands. Each scope comes complete with a set of rimfire rings that make this Simmons 4x32 Riflescope easy to mount.

Great scope at a really good price
Got this for my 17hmr Ruger American bolt action rifle. It came with rings so I decided to use them instead of others I have. They work good and hold the scope in place. The eye relief was good and the cross hairs haven't come off zero since I put it there. Adjusting the zoom is tighter than normal but that's not a bad thing I guess. 1 inch groups at 75 yards isn't bad for me cause I'm not to young anymore. You can spend more but why? I'm sure you'll be happy with it if you decide get one. I like mine.

The best for my Mag.
I use this scope on my Mag .22 and it is great. If you don't have this Simmons scope you have zero.

Scope yes, Rings no
Scope seemed nice enough, had a good picture with the bore sighter. Unfortunately I was unable to try it out at the range. Rings are junk! screws for the top half of the rings stripped out before they were even snugged up. Not to mention you have to decide which side of the rifle you want the scope to tilt towards. They should just ship the scope without any rings and save you the aggravation of trying the garbage rings that it comes with

Simply can't get better quality for a plinker than Simmons. This scope has much better optics than my Barska (was a little disappointed in BTW) for a fraction of the cost. Mounted this optic on a .22 Magnum.

My first scope purchase in a decade, I decided on a 'cheapy' for my Marlin 60 .22 rifle. The optics and clarity are incredible, mounted easily, and sighted in fast. Has held zero for 100+ rounds so far. I have an older Leupold Vari-XIII 1.5-5x20mm scope, and I have to say I enjoy the optics in this one more. Chinese made? Yes. However, do not hesitate to buy this. You won't regret the purchase.

On the other reviews { thanks Guys }, I purchased 2 of these, one for my Marlin one for my Zastava. I like these scopes. Rings are OK but could not use them on the Zastava not enough clearence for the bolt. This scope and the 3X9 is more than adequate for the 22 mag, BDC scopes are not needed on a gun that is not effective range wise, past 150 yards. Thanks CTD great service!!!

I put this on my Sig522 and it works like a charm. Finish quality is supreme and it holds a zero perfectly. Reticle is very nice and scope does not require a screwdriver to adjust, which I find very nice. Would give 6 bullets if I could!

I bought this scope about
I bought this scope about five months ago for my Ruger 10\22. First thing I did was change out the rings . After that I took it to the range and tried zeroing it in at 50 yards. I could not find the paper. Then I tried it at 25 yards and after adjusting the elevation all the way down, I was low still about 6 inches. The adjusting screw popped out of the plastic dial. I was very frustrated and I'm trying to contact them about the warranty. We'll see

Normally, I don't bother
Normally, I don't bother with review posting. But with this Simmons scope, I had to bother with it. I wanted a compact - light weight - but bright optics scope for my Browning Grade I semi-automatic 22LR. The rifle is exceptionally light, easy to carry all day, and a very ACCURATE SHOOTER. The scope was a perfect match in function and quality. Very 'Browning' in both ways. Bright optics, easy to sight-in, GR8 viewing. Also, CTD was fast to ship and very well packed and an excellent price. Thanks.

Probably about the worst glass I've seen. Blurry around edges. Mine is a few years old they may be better now.

I also have this scope on my Marlin 22 WMR. It is a great scope and the price is right. I opted for better scope mount rings but this scope has good optics and holds zero, it is built solid and it will last for years and years

I found this scope at this price to be a fair deal even with the extra shipping cost. I mounted this on my 10/22 and took it on a bunny hunt. The pros - EXCELLENT low light gathering. It compared to scopes going for $100+ in this area. Also it did not fog up one bit on a 40 degree day with on and off rain. It held at zero for over 200 rounds of .22LR. The Cons - It is very touchy with the distance from your eye. It has a very small window for full view and must be mounted carefully to fix this. Also it is slightly too powerfull for a .22LR for fast moving targets. It worked fine but a slightly lower power would be better. For still targets and plinking this is a GREAT buy. Just as a side note I mounted this on my AR-15 just to see how it did, it held at zero for over 160 rounds on this rifle and was actually better suited to that gun than the 10/22. Overall for the money I compared it to SEVERAL scopes at the local big box store and it was equal to scopes there selling for close to $100. It's no Leupold, but it was still a good deal. One downside is you WILL NEED new rings. The rings it shipped with were total garbage. I paid an extra $11.73 to buy a set of Leupold rings at the big box mart and it was worth it. Even with the shipping cost and the price of new rings it's worth it.

what is the tube diameter?
Answer: 1"
can this be mounted on a ruger american 30-06? or is it primarily for .22LR
Answer: This is primarily for .22 magnum.
Will this fit my picatinny rail on my Ruger 10/22 takedown
Answer: With the appropriate rings it will. The rings that come with it are for rimfire 3/8" dovetails.
