This particular item allows you to get some relief from the effects of muzzle blast when your ARS compatible suppressor is not installed. This feature allows you to direct excess pressure and gasses forward of the muzzle safely down range. ASR as it is referred to, allows for one hand operation of easy attachment/detachment of suppressors from the host weapon. The Blast Shield requires an ARS muzzle device (sold separately) as a host and is made from steel with a matte black finish.
