It saves time and ammo to sight in scopes and Red Dot sights. The batteries they include with it, do not last long. But other than that. It works fine.

First off, I don't write
First off, I don't write reviews, as I'm too lazy. I'm making an exception here. I got the little thing and put the batteries in. Laser light shot across the room, just as it was supposed to. It was real pretty. Unscrewed cap to take out the batteries. One came out, the other was still inside. Finally it decided to shoot out and landed on the floor. I found it 30 minutes later. The spring was not put in straight, thus causing the problem. I couldn't straighten it. I never knew when and if the second battery would come out and where. Was able to sight in my AKs. Now, the bottom battery is still stuck in the bottom of the laser, and I don't know when, if ever, I'll get it out. I'm going to contact customer service to see if they will give me another one.

Bought this to set my 2 S
Bought this to set my 2 Saiga 7.62x39 and my 2 SKS same caliber. worked flawless. To avoid the battery issues I just removed batteries and stored them in the case the sight came in. I inserted this in the barrel and never had to move it around. Was very handy in sighting in my hog guns, I set scope at 100 yards and set my secondary laser at 50 yards. all within about 5 minutes. Makes initial sight in a breeze.

It does not fit the chamb
It does not fit the chamber properly. You have to work the casing around to make a clear beam exit the barrel without scattering, but once you have a clear beam it works fine got on the paper with my SKS and Bushnell red dot in one shot.

I just used it today at 5
I just used it today at 50 yards and it worked great for my WASR 10/63, fits right into bore, as others stated the batteries do not last long so i recommend getting spares, and it needs a on/off switch for sure, i just turn one of the batteries backwards and that seems to do the trick, great product for the price and the Casual shooter, small pouch comes with a pocket to hold batteries in but the fit loosely and sometimes fall out, i just put a piece of tape across the hole and it hold them just fine, sounds ghetto but its just a case, great product and great buy.... thanks CTD

The laser function is str
The laser function is strong and distinct, quality is fine, and overall function is perfect. It does what it says.I bought it for 7.62x54R, as it claims in the advertisement. It does not fit correctly into this chamber, and you get an off center beam with some scattering of the beam. If you wiggle it around slightly to find the center, then it is useful, but awkward. Still, it is helpful, but it would be better if they made one dedicated to the 7.62x54R, so the chamber dimensions could be exact. There is no way to turn it off so one must remove the tiny batteries each time. No small feat if you are testing rifles on the range where handling tiny batteries is not desirable or feasible. Get extra batteries soon. Still, overall it is useful for all .308 bores as far as I can tell. Thanks CTD

I turned this on once and then took the batteries out and put them back in the pack. I went 5 days later to sight in my scope and they where completly dead. But I bet it would work well with good batteries.
