When Shield Arms released the S15 magazine for the GLOCK 43X and 48, they changed the concealed carry game. Using steel instead of plastic for the magazine body allowed them to increase the magazine capacity by 5 rounds without changing the dimensions of the magazine. But those same magazines work immensely better with a steel magazine release, so Shield Arms created those too! This premium mag catch comes in right and left hand specific models. Because the catch is not ambidextrous, Shield Arms was able to eliminate hard angles on the bottom of the catch for smoother reloads with their steel S15 magazine. The catch face has been slightly extended compared to their Standard Mag Catch by about .03", and there is slightly MORE magazine engagement with this premium catch.
