Impressive
Tested these in my HCAR. Held consistent groups at my local 400 yard range. Fired one into a 15 pound block of clay in hopes to capture the expansion. It completely obliterated the clay... Accurate, clean and devastating

Don't be discouraged
I'm not sure if the other reviewer even fired this round... Sellier & Bellot has been in business since 1825, so they know what they are doing. I bought this round locally since it was inexpensive (not cheap mind you), but didn't open the box before I purchased. I was a bit shocked by the stepped design when I opened the 20rnd box, but I gave it a chance since I couldn't return it. Firing it out of a US M1917, the groupings were outstanding. This was the very first time I shot my grandfather's rifle, and groupings were around 5in at 100 yards, with a few fliers. Five inch groupings may not sound fantastic, but I would consider myself a novice shooter. Further, this is a fairly clean firing round. After a box of twenty, I only had to do a few passes through the barrel before the cotton patches were coming out clean. I have fired both Sellier & Bellot's FMJ and SPCE, and they both shoot well. My aim has gotten better since I my use of the SPCE, so I'm not sure I could give a fair comparison between the rounds. I'd say give it a try for yourself and make your own judgement. For they price, why not? Oh, and the stepped design makes very nice, sharp edged holes in cardboard targets :)

Be careful what you are buying!
These bullets turned out to be a weird stepped round, see the nomenclature of SPCE. No tapper like an M2 Ball, or any other bullet I have ever seen. Supposed to have less drag than a Sierra 168 HPBT. With a stepped design? No way. Avoid this bullet. Cons: May try it, but that step looks scary!
