Make sure your rifle line up properly. Well made, outstanding metal magazine. Just make sure it works with your rifle before you buy. I am stuck with three beautiful well made clips that won't fit my rifle, made by Salvage.
I bought three of these and they will not fit my Salvage 30-06 as promised. I had no idea so I never tried them until a year later I decided to go shooting at the rifle range and the magazine doesn't fit. The description says it will fit perfectly, but it doesn't. The smaller clip that came with my Rifle fits perfect.

I realize the 30-06 and 270Win are bigger rounds but will this mag run 6.5Creedmoor out of the Axis I ?
Answer:
No it will not. Unfortunately you're limited to the original proprietary 4 round Axis/Edge short action mag. Mags of higher capacity are not available for your rifle.
Will 25-06 fit in this magazine?
Answer:
Yes, it should.
will this fit a savage axis .30-06 ?
Answer:
No this will not fit a standard Savage Axis. This will only fit Axis II Precision (long action) models that are set up for AICS pattern magazines.
