Will it work on a S&W AR 15 sport 2 ?

No this will not fit. This is designed to fit on handguards with Samson Evolution attachment points. If you have the factory original two piece polymer handguard, then you could add a picatinny rail and mount a grip to the rail. Check out item # 7-GTSW190 and ARR-253.
