The Model 579 uses the Safariland GLS (grip lock system) for retention. The weapon is automatically secured upon holstering and is released upon application of the middle finger with a standard shooting grip. The holster is constructed of SafariSevel, a proprietary state of the art nylon blend that is non-abrasive to the gun's finish and easy to maintain. The Model 579 has a belt clip that attaches to belts up to 2.25" wide.
