The Model 578 GLS Pro-Fit holster is a unique design that adjusts to properly fit over 225 different handguns, allowing it to work with most popular mid- to full-size semi automatics. This model is equipped with an easy on/easy off paddle attachment. The holster is constructed of SafariSeven, a proprietary nylon that is completely non-abrasive, tolerant of both high and low temperatures, and very easy to maintain. Retention is achieved by the Safariland Grip Lock System (GLS) which automatically secures the weapon when holstered. The weapon is released by the middle finger upon application of a standard shooting grip, permitting a smooth, rapid and natural draw.

My first impressions of t
My first impressions of this holster are that it is well made and a surprisingly snug fit once adjusted. The position of the GLS (Grip Locking System) lever is such that my middle finger automatically depresses it releasing the pistol smoothly and quickly. Before ordering, I had some concern that the GLS lever would complicate my draw but I’m happy to report that it draws just as quickly as other holsters without the active retaining system. The 578-450-411 works with my P320 RX
